Michel
Forgues / Docuweb director
Stage director at the Théâtre de Quat Sous, La Veillée,
La Licorne; comedian, he played Nelligan, Novecento; screenwriter, former
radio host at Radio-Canada, dramatics teacher (UdM), Michel Forgues
has worn many hats. For the last four years, writing has taken center
stage in his life: Linstant chorégraphique, in
the Possible magazine, a first book Une lettre de granite followed
by couleur:corail, un greyhound afghan in the Moebius
magazine (nominated for the bande à Moebius 2000
Award). A year ago, Michel obtained a camera. And now, its on
with the Docuweb!
François
Veillette / multimedia department manager
Holder of a bachelors degree in industrial design from lUniversité
de Montréal, François trained in London and collaborated
on his final studies project with Trinôme where he still manages
the multimedia department. He loves rock climbing, canoeing, swimming
(almost everyday!). At work, he devises formats, calculates pixels,
chooses colors, extracts television content which he then pummels, transforms,
encodes, decodes, and codes again
In fact, this is just another
way for him to practice rock climbing, canoeing and swimming. On the
weekend, François chops down wood for fire in the winter
Jonathan
Boivin / Internet designer
Like François, Jonathan too encodes, decodes, compresses and
decompresses. Above all however, he thrives on the web site aspect of
the multimedia department. With lightning speed, Jonathan can process
any kind of material - be it ideas, concepts or mere intuitions - which
he then changes, materializes and digitalizes into images, graphics,
interfaces or high speed resolutions fit for hard copies or cathode-ray
screens. François and Jonathan, two old chums from St-Basile,
will illuminate and animate your screen. They will make your speakers
resonate with sounds of the room you are surfing in so you can experience
the recreated atmospheres of that weeks stopover.
Jean-Christophe
Monette / web site assistant designer
Jean-Christophe studied multimedia conception and creation at the André-Grasset
College in Montreal. Also benefiting from a multimedia training course
granted by the International Intern Program for Canadian Youth 2001-2002
of the ACPFT, our young recruit assists François and Jonathan.
Jean-Christophe won the award for Best Multimedia Design at the 2001
Réflekto event. He repeated this exploit by winning the Gold
MIM in the Young Creators/Creation category of the 2001 MIM. We wish
him well on his journey with the crew.
Julie
Riopel / editor
Graduated in Arts and Media Technology at the Jonquière C.E.G.E.P.
in 1998, Julie Riopel has since then edited topics and promos for Deux
filles le matin, Bec et museau broadcasted on TVA, topics
for Largent na pas de sexe at Canal Vie as well
as two documentary series: Cest mathématiques II
on the air of Canal Z and Vivre à deux II at Canal Vie.
On PLEIN SUD, the Docuweb, she reassembles disconnected
images which are all numerical echos of the various experiences that
our travellers encounter. By melting words and images together, she
gives an atmosphere and a rhythm to the Web.
Marie-Josée
Barrette / production coordinator
French, Spanish, English, German, Marie-Josée loves languages.
A former teacher in a small school in the Plateau Mont-Royal district,
she had to bridge the gap between ten different nationalities rubbing
shoulders in her classroom. Wanting to experience something else, she
opted for a sabbatical year: she became a production coordinator, her
first incursion in television. Travel plans on the horizon! Languages,
she says, are an opening onto the world and people. Faced with
the choice of a new language to learn, she hesitates: will it be Italian
or Brazilian? What would you suggest?
Martine
Chamberland / post-production coordinator
Martine is on the look-out for the precious cassettes the traveling
crew sends over, cassettes without which we would not survive. «Martine,
dont you see anything coming?» PHEW! She just got them this
morning. Martine is in charge of the coming and going of the cassettes
and coordinates the schedules for image editing and sound mixing. She
is the mother of a fifteen-month-old baby boy, Victor, whose picture
is pinned to the panel that closes her office space. She is with Trinôme
since 1999.
